Tatsch had 14 tackles as a freshman in 2025. He made three assisted tackles and shared a tackle for loss at Northwestern on October 2, then was listed questionable in the initial October 7 USC availability report. Questionable is not a final game-day status.
Alex Tatsch made his Penn State debut as a freshman in 2025, playing six games and recording 14 tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. His five-tackle game against Nebraska was his largest that season. The production gives a college baseline beyond his Greater Latrobe recruiting résumé.
Through Wisconsin in 2026, Penn State credits Tatsch with three appearances, eight tackles, one tackle for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. His sack and forced fumble came against Buffalo. The Big Ten Northwestern box score later credited him with three assisted tackles and half a tackle for loss, so the three-game card below is explicitly a pre-Northwestern snapshot.
Tatsch has contributed impact plays in two seasons, but his verified totals do not define a fixed starting role. The initial October 7 USC availability report listed him questionable. That is a dated designation, not a final game-day ruling or a season-ending diagnosis.
