Collins started every Penn State game in 2025 and the first four of 2026. He had seven pass breakups through Wisconsin, then made three tackles at Northwestern on October 2. The single-game tackle line does not establish his USC coverage assignment.
Audavion Collins came to Penn State after a redshirt year at Mississippi State and developed into an experienced cornerback. He started all 13 Penn State games in 2025, recording 47 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and three pass breakups. The media voted him All-Big Ten honorable mention that season.
Collins started Penn State’s first four games of 2026 and broke up seven passes through Wisconsin. Three of those breakups came against the Badgers, along with three tackles. The four-game sample shows regular defensive use and ball disruption, though pass-breakup totals alone do not describe every coverage assignment.
His 2024 season also included an interception and a sack across 16 appearances. The progression from rotating defensive back to full-season starter matters more than a projected cornerback label. Future matchups should be evaluated through game-specific usage, while the 2025 starts and early 2026 pass production remain verified baselines.
