Joseph returned a Villanova interception 49 yards for a touchdown in 2025. He had five tackles in four early Penn State games in 2026, through Wisconsin.
Jahmir Joseph is a redshirt-freshman cornerback with game production in both of his Penn State seasons. In 2025 he appeared in five games and returned an interception 49 yards for a touchdown against Villanova. He also made seven solo tackles and broke up a pass that season.
Penn State credits Joseph with four appearances and five tackles in its early 2026 summary. Three of those tackles came against Wisconsin; the other two were recorded at Temple and against Buffalo. Those dated figures establish defensive participation without identifying a permanent starting job.
The Villanova pick-six is a specific impact play, but it should not be described as a 2026 takeaway. Likewise, the early 2026 tackle count is not a full-season total. Joseph’s next role assessment should come from an updated game log or lineup rather than extrapolating from the five-game and four-game snapshots.
