Role and Depth Chart Context

Cooper had eight interceptions across four Iowa State seasons. Penn State credited him with two starts through Buffalo in 2026; he made eight tackles against Wisconsin and four more at Northwestern on October 2.

Biography

Jeremiah Cooper brought extensive Iowa State secondary experience to Penn State. He started 11 games in 2023 and intercepted five passes, then started all 14 games in 2024 with 48 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass breakups. A 2025 injury limited him to four starts; those seasons explain his résumé without assuming a fully unchanged role in 2026.

Penn State’s player biography lists three appearances, two starts, four tackles and a pass breakup through Buffalo. Against Wisconsin, the school’s recap credits Cooper with a game-high eight tackles. That later game performance should be read separately from the earlier three-game summary.

The combination of previous-school ball production and documented Penn State snaps makes Cooper a meaningful safety name to follow. His prior eight Iowa State interceptions are not Penn State interceptions, and the early 2026 stat line cannot establish his assignment or health for every later matchup.
