Andrews played four games in 2025. In two early 2026 appearances he made three tackles, one against Marshall and two against Buffalo, and added a Buffalo quarterback hurry.
Liam Andrews is a redshirt-sophomore defensive tackle from Brookline, Massachusetts. He appeared in four Penn State games in 2025 after redshirting in 2024. His official biography also lists Academic All-Big Ten recognition for the 2025 season.
Andrews made a solo tackle against Marshall on September 5, 2026. Against Buffalo on September 19, he assisted on two more tackles and hurried a pass. The Buffalo play-by-play identifies both assisted stops and the hurry. Penn State’s player biography totals those outings at three tackles in two appearances.
Those are actual early defensive contributions, but the available record does not list a start or a larger season-long workload. The quarterback hurry is a separate play from the tackle total, not a sack. Andrews remains on Penn State’s 2026 defensive-tackle roster as the front rotates through its conference schedule.
