Tenbrock had eight kickoffs for 511 yards through Buffalo, then handled all three Penn State kickoffs for 185 yards at Northwestern on October 2. Penn State lists him as a punter, but Tiyce handled every punt in that game.
Lucas Tenbrock is a freshman specialist from St. Charles, Illinois. Penn State lists him as a punter on its 2026 roster, but the game work described in his official biography is on kickoffs: eight in two appearances through Buffalo, totaling 511 yards.
Four of those kickoffs came against Marshall, with two touchbacks. Tenbrock added four against Buffalo, with three touchbacks. That is a documented early-season kickoff assignment, not evidence that he handled Penn State’s punts or field-goal attempts. Nathan Tiyce’s separate game record covers the early punting work.
Tenbrock also punted and kicked at St. Charles North High School. Penn State credits him with a 43-yard punting average as a junior there, along with 42 successful extra points in 42 attempts. Those high-school figures explain his specialist background, but they should not be combined with his college kickoff totals.
