Barker made seven field goals through Wisconsin in 2026. At Northwestern on October 2, he made his only extra-point attempt and missed a 45-yard field-goal attempt. He handled placekicking; Tiyce punted and Tenbrock kicked off.
Ryan Barker entered 2026 as Penn State’s established field-goal kicker. In 2025 he made 18 of 19 field-goal attempts, a school single-season percentage record of 94.7, and converted 44 of 45 extra points. He also made three field goals in the Clemson Pinstripe Bowl win.
Penn State credits Barker with seven made field goals and 17 successful extra points across its first four 2026 games, through Wisconsin. He hit two field goals against the Badgers, from 22 and 37 yards. At Northwestern he made the extra point documented in the school’s postgame notes; that later game should not be silently folded into the four-game stat card.
Barker’s 2024 season adds a notable USC connection: he made four field goals in the road win, including a 36-yard overtime winner. That historical result does not forecast the next USC game, but it explains his experience in high-pressure kicking situations. Current-season accuracy should be updated only from the new attempt record.
