Ikakoula played four games and started two at Iowa State in 2025. Penn State lists four appearances through Wisconsin in 2026 without a start. StateCollege.com reported that he replaced Brock Riker at center in the fourth quarter at Northwestern; that substitution does not establish a permanent starting change.
Vaea Ikakoula came to Penn State after a 2025 season at Iowa State in which he played four games and made two starts. Iowa State’s end-of-season notes identify his first start as an extra lineman against Kansas. Those starts belong to his previous school, not Penn State.
Penn State lists Ikakoula as a redshirt freshman offensive lineman at 6-foot-3 and 326 pounds. Its available 2026 biography credits him with four appearances through Wisconsin, without listing a start. The Buffalo game summary includes team rushing and passing totals, but those are not individual blocking statistics.
The two Iowa State starts and four early Penn State appearances establish actual game experience on both lines. They do not identify a permanent spot in Penn State’s current starting five; a dated lineup would be needed for that assignment.
