Senior
Senior cornerback with nine starts in 2025 and three more through Penn State's first four games of 2026. He had 12 tackles and two pass breakups through Wisconsin; his precise assignment can still vary by defensive package.
Zion Tracy is a senior cornerback on Penn State's 2026 roster. His case for a meaningful role rests on defensive and special-teams work across several seasons, not just a recruiting label.
In 2024, Penn State credited Tracy with 35 tackles, two interceptions, one sack, two tackles for loss and a pass breakup across 16 appearances and four starts. He also returned 15 punts for 87 yards. In 2025, he played 11 games, started nine and recorded 32 tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. That progression made him one of the more experienced returning backs.
Penn State's official player bio lists 12 tackles and two pass breakups through the first four games of 2026, with three starts. His 2024 pick-six against Ohio State shows ball production, while the 2025 and early-2026 starts show regular defensive use. Those facts are stronger evidence of his place in the secondary than an unconfirmed nickel or outside-corner projection.
