His career-high 181-yard, 2-touchdown performance against Michigan State on November 15 was instrumental in snapping Penn State's six-game losing streak. With 3,794 career rushing yards, Allen sits just 138 yards shy of Evan Royster's Penn State all-time rushing record (3,932 yards). His consistency and production have been crucial for the team's offense throughout a challenging 2025 season.
Kaytron Lamont Allen is the other half of Penn State's dynamic rushing duo. Born January 8, 2003, Allen brings power and vision to exploit running lanes between the tackles. In 2024, he appeared in 16 games (5 starts) and rushed for 1,108 yards on 220 carries (5.1 yards per carry) with eight touchdowns. He also added 18 receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Allen reached 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career, becoming the 18th Nittany Lion to reach this milestone. Together with Nicholas Singleton, they became the first Penn State duo to both rush for 1,000 yards in a single season. He finished fifth in the Big Ten in rushing yardage and 13th in program history for single-season rushing attempts. In 2025, Allen returned for his senior season and has been a key contributor.
As Penn State navigates a coaching change and a new QB, Kaytron Allen remains the offense's most reliable weapon, proven by his 145-yard effort against Iowa.
