STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Head Coach Matt Campbell continues to assemble his inaugural staff at Penn State, announcing the additions of Noah Pauley and Jake Waters on Wednesday.
Both coaches arrive from Iowa State, bringing familiarity with Campbell’s offensive system and culture. Additionally, Campbell confirmed that Alan Zemaitis will be retained on staff as the Recruiting Coordinator for Personnel.
Noah Pauley: Wide Receivers
Pauley takes over the wide receivers room after a successful stint at Iowa State, where he developed several All-Big 12 performers. Known for his technical expertise and recruiting acumen, Pauley faces the immediate task of retooling a receiving corps that struggled with consistency in 2025.
Jake Waters: Quarterbacks
Waters, a former standout quarterback at Kansas State, joins the staff to mentor the Nittany Lion signal-callers. His arrival comes at a pivotal time, with the quarterback room in flux and pending decisions from current roster players.
Alan Zemaitis Retained
In a move that will please many lettermen and local fans, Campbell has retained Alan Zemaitis. A Penn State defensive legend, Zemaitis has been instrumental in the program’s recruiting efforts, particularly in the Philadelphia area and DMV region. His continuity provides a vital link to the program’s history and key recruiting pipelines.
